Alright, a little about me.  As of the time of this writing, I’m 30 years old.  I’ve got years upon years of college under my belt, but no degree yet.  I’m working on fixing that now.  Professionally, I’m a United States Navy Chief Petty Officer, and have been a sailor in the Navy now for 13 years.  I teach at the Nuclear Power School in Goose Creek, South Carolina.

I’m lucky enough to be married to the best woman in the world, Jennifer, who serves as the command’s ombudsman.  She also has a Bachelor’s Degree from Washington State University, is a licensed Massage Therapist, owner of Rainier Holistic, LLC, and is a Birth Arts International and DONA-trained doula, helping woman around the lowcountry.

We have three children, who keep us very busy. They’re 4, 2, and 8 months now, and changing by the minute, it seems.

Outside of the Navy, I am a review writer, as of last week, for Some Kind of Star Trek, a blogger for the LifeHacker sub-blog, Hackerspace (you can see my specific posts here), and a full-time student in a Bachelor’s of Science – Information Technology Security program at Western Governor’s University.  I just started there in June, and plan on blogging for Hackerspace about my progress there, while reviewing Star Trek books, movies, and TV episodes for SKOST.  I also plan on using this as a platform for my personal beliefs, views, etc.  I have this crazy idea of running for public office one day, and the views I express here may come into play in some fashion there at some point after I retire from the military.

With that said, enjoy!
